Harlen Zhal'essin d' Venoch

Few truly knew or understood who or where this elusive, enigmatic man had come from.  Still fewer knew the past that he kept to himself, fearful that the world would see him as a monster.  He was a man of refined taste, often found roaming throughout various parts of Rhydin in search of nothing more but a fine drink and perhaps, if it should be found, a worthwhile conversation. 

His home was in Sel Tethyr, the wildlands lying North of Rhydin's political borders.  He had claimed them as his own and set in place numerous pitfalls for anyone brave(or stupid) enough to try and follow him there without his permission.

Through the years he has helped lead numerous prestigious guilds to glory, some of them creations of his own devices.  Many friends have come and gone for him, and it is rest assured that many more shall come and go.  Do you dare approach him?  Those who do be warned.  Evil intent and ill will has never been tolerated.  More than enough fools have choked on their own blood as they lay dying, watching him walk away in silence.
